BEHIND THE SCENE

These gentlemen were the support group on the "Arabian Ann" barge. They were the surveyor, cook, medic, kitchen helper and cleaner. They were as important as the construction crews in ensuring the offshore works went on as plan. This photo is posted to remind myself and everybody else of the situation in late December 2006 and January 2007. I believe some of us may still remember the frustration and difficulties that we have encountered with the offshore PMC. These guys have been affected emotionally (after being away from home for many months) and few manage to run away while some find reasonable causes to fly home. Daing may have some interesting story behind the scene.

The guy with black T-Shirt had tried to escape home by giving misleading information to the press in Malaysia. He had been deported at last after the construction crews have been changed. This is an example of the challenges and experiences that we have encountered throughout our presence at the MT.

Leaving belove family to go abroad is a hard thing to do. As our case, returning home is even harder. But tht was your choice AND MINE TOO...being here in MTF's onshore and offshore have no different. Choices...we all make them...we all live with them. Knowing what I know now- but I'd still head out to here every after my R&R!!!..sbb lumayan maaa
"The hardest thing that we ever must do is to lose some-hope for a better results." Intuitively, we know that, and we struggle with today's decisions because of it.
Most of us have children, wife or family members in need...we love them, and we'd miss the joy...as huge as I do..

Yes, it doesn't matter offshore or onshore but these guys don't go back like you every two months or slightly more. Some didn't go back for more than 6 months. They came here on project completion basis. They were liked staying on a small island and their movement was limited. At least you can go to Port Sudan, Al Kawit etc. That's was the real story maaa.....I pitty them more than myself and you...
